Graphic Design / Social Media Marketing Intern

InQbrands, Inc. is looking for a Graphic Design / Socia Media Intern. The Graphic Design / Social Media Intern will help the company to develop graphics, campaign collateral, and hard-copy/digital content for the company and the associated brands’ social media accounts. This position will support the company to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue. The duties and responsibilities include:

  • Design and execution of social media campaigns

  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites

  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets

  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability

  • Support sales team at live and online events

  • Perform social media marketing research

  • Assist with influencer campaign strategy

  • Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms

  • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content

  • Create compelling graphics to share across social channels

  • Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience

  • Help create and edit short-form videos

  • Develop new strategies for increasing engagement

  • Assist with photo/video content shoots

  • Ensure the brand message is consistent

Wages & Benefits:

  • Telecommuting (option for return to in-person workspace in Ontario City, California; occasional in-person meetings)

  • Paid: $16-$20/hour

  • Regular, Part-Time; 15- 20 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate, Graduate, or recently graduated student in good standing with an accredited university, with a major in Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field

  • Demonstrated proficiency with graphic design software (such as: Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) to create collateral, infographics, logos, powerpoint decks, flyers, videos, etc.

  • Experience with website development programs (such as: SquareSpace and WordPress) for the refinement of organization webpages

  • Excellent design, communication, and copy-editing skills, for confident and engaging communication with internal and external partners

  • Strong understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media and associated scheduling platforms (such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite or Sprout Social)

  • Ability to present programmatic information in a clear, concise, engaging manner

  • Experience writing and/or editing copy and contributing to reports preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong organization skills, including proven ability to prioritize between multiple projects at once, and produce high-quality work with quick turnaround

  • Ability to handle highly sensitive materials and relationships with good judgment and discretion

  • Demonstrated proficiency in of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating a drive to complete work with minimal direction

  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, reliable, professional, organized, and a quick learner

  • Interest in education, collective impact, and civic leadership, with a commitment to increasing educational opportunities

  • Must possess a valid Drivers License or have access to reliable transportation
